The
Wholehearted
Enneagram
Retreat

February
19th-21st
2021

Daring Way Facilitators Rochelle and Lee Ann are joining forces again to bring you a retreat that is about one of their favorite topics: The Enneagram.

Rochelle on the Enneagram:

Picture
Rochelle first learned about the enneagram in 2000 and became intrigued with it because it instantly impacted her understanding of herself and others.  She read several books on the enneagram over the next several years and finally became an accredited iEQ9 enneagram practitioner in December of 2018.  Since that time, Rochelle has used the iEQ9 assessment in a variety of ways to help individuals develop self-awareness and to create a plan toward further understanding and self- growth.  She attended an inner healing retreat with Bea Chestnut in 2019 that deepened her interest in using the enneagram in her practice.  She continues to study the enneagram because she believes it is an insightful roadmap designed to help individuals intentionally move toward a higher essence of the self.

Lee Ann on the Enneagram:

As part of her training and development Lee Ann taken a lot of personality tests, but discovering the Enneagram was a game changer. It has given her so much compassion for herself and her wiring, and it is a lens she can use to understand and have more empathy with others. Applying it to her friendships and her marriage has made such a difference. In addition to reading books and articles on the Enneagram, being an avid follower of the Instagram account enneagramandcoffee, and encouraging everyone to learn about, Lee Ann has also taken workshops on creative ways to work with your Enneagram number.

About the Retreat

As a part of the retreat preparation you will be given a link to take the online iEQ9 assessment and you will receive a twenty page report about your Enneagram type.
It alone will include:

  • Helpful information about your interpersonal social style
  • Insightful knowledge about your conflict style
  • Constructive clues about your leadership style
  • Essential data that will help you understand your sub-type
  • Valuable information about your stress and strain levels
  • An understanding of your motivation for taking action

During the retreat weekend Rochelle with guide you in developing a deeper understanding about your personality type and sub-type. You can expect to learn more about your type's blind spots and specific defense mechanisms, and ways to make useful cognitive shifts in your thinking. You will also develop a plan for next steps in your personal journey toward essence.
You can expect to participate in integration exercises individually and with the others in the group.

Using the creative modality of SoulCollage®, Lee Ann will help you to take what you are learning from your head to your heart. If you know how to cut and paste you can do SoulCollage®, which are small collage cards made from images. This method will help you to explore more about your type, as well as where you go during times of strength and struggle. As a registered yoga teacher Lee Ann will also guide optional yoga to get you into your body.

About the location

This retreat location is a long-time dream come true. A place near Houston that has nature to explore, farm to table dining, and cares about sustainability and the environment... The trifecta has been found at Blackwood Land!!!

The Blackwood Educational Land Institute is on 23 acres. You will have time to:
• Explore the woods
• Walk the labyrinth
• Paddle board
• Visit the chickens
• Admire the fruit and vegetables growing

We will be staying in a sustainable Strawbale house. There are two sleeping rooms with 12 bunkbeds and 7 bunkbeds with organic mattresses. Since most adults don't want to stay in a top bunk, we are limiting it to 19 people so everyone has a bottom bunk. There are also two cabins on the property with a double bed, private bathroom, and outdoor (but heated) shower. If you would rather reserve one of those at an additional cost, please contact us.

What to bring and know

• Anything you may need for a weekend away! Clothing, toiletries, sunscreen, art or journaling supplies.
• Your iEQ9 report, a pen, and notebook.
• Closed toed shoes to explore the land and/or walk the labyrinth.
• If you want to participate in yoga, please bring a yoga mat and comfortable clothing.

• There are canoes and paddle boards available so clothing for that if you plan on partaking.

Your sheets, blanket, pillow, and a towel are included. If you get cold you may want an extra blanket. In each of the sleeping rooms there is one toilet and a shower with two sections. 200 feet from the house there are additional restrooms and showers.

Farm to table meals (from their 3 acres in production and trusted sources) will be provided (list when). If you have any dietary restrictions or needs please let us know when you register.
There is also a full kitchen in the house available for use if you need special meals/snacks. There is a fridge/freezer (ask about microwave), coffee grinder, french presses, tea kettle.

* There are bees kept on the property. If you are allergic to bees please let us know and come at your own risk. You must bring your epi-pen and any other medical precautions you may need.
