Play and rest are the biggest areas that I am trying to cultivate more of in my life.
I struggle with truly doing either so I have to be intentional about building more of both into my everyday.
I took a year to play well by building with LEGO® bricks everyday and created an online course about the magic that got unblocked.
Taking a tea break is one intentional way I practice resting and resetting throughout the day. If you want to know more about my tea journey and how it has inspired me and grown you can read about it on this blog post.
I sign off my quarterly e-letters this way because I still need the reminder:
Play and Rest Well,
Lee Ann

Self-compassion used to be like a foreign language to me.
I had the worst negative self-talk and over many, many years and a lot work I have developed and strengthened a new voice that helps me honor and love myself.
Starting change from a place of love instead of "not enough" has made a huge difference.
Self-Compassion Saturday was the first ever Daring Discoveries event and it has become an annual tradition because I believe becoming self-compassionate is the foundation to true and lasting change. And since we need more than one Self-Compassion Saturday a year I also wrote a book to be a friend on the journey: Rooted in Love: A 40-day practice of growing self-compassion in your life and planting seeds of compassion in the world.
P.S. I am also a recovering perfectionist!

I need a lot of grounding to stay out of anxiety, fear, doubt, and worry.
Breathing, yoga, meditation, getting outside in nature, being around animals, taking my introvert time, using essential oils, taking baths, creating in my art journal…all those things ground and restore my soul.
I am a Registered Yoga Teacher and doTERRA Wellness Advocate and I love creating grounding and restoring experiences for others. You can check out all of my services here.
My faith is also a huge source of grounding and guidance for me.

I love creating and growing my creativity.
I’m a creativity e-course junkie and taking classes online or in person has changed my life. I keep a blog post updated with all the creativity resources I have explored and I hope you find it helpful.
Creative practice is now just how I live my life and why I lead others through the course 100 Days of Building Creativity, and why I wrote the book Practice Pilgrimage.
If you want to know more about my journey as an artist you may enjoy this article in Voyage Houston Magazine. And if you want to know what I am up to now, definitely follow me on Instagram.

I am continually encouraged and inspired by all who I have the honor to work with and that helps me to keep going.
I love knowing I am not alone on the journey.
Thank you and I look forward to getting to know you!
